Mr Christian Phillips DM MRCOG

Christian Phillips is a consultant gynaecologist at the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital. He provides a general gynaecology service and has specialist training in urogynaecology, pelvic floor surgery, colposcopy and gynaecological ultrasound. He has a thesis in genital prolapse and has extensive training in the field of urogynaecology and pelvic floor reconstruction. He has particular experience in new procedures to treat incontinence and prolapse that are minimally invasive, and reduce hospital stay and have a quicker recovery than traditional procedures for incontinence and prolapse. He presents nationally and internationally in the field of urogynaecology and is on the faculty for the Bristol Anatomy Course for Gynaecologists. He is chair of the scientific committee for the United Kingdom Continence Society 2008 and has published and reviewed numerous papers, chapters and books about common gynaecological conditions.

Mr Phillips provides a colposcopy service both at the Hampshire Clinic and at the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital. He is a fully accredited colposcopist and member of the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP).

Mr Phillips is the clinical lead for the gynaecology ultrasound department at the Basingstoke and North Hampshire NHS Foundation Trust Hospital and provides scanning services for gynaecological conditions and problems in early pregnancy.
